OPJS Christmas Competitions!

Back
13 December 2019

Dear Parent/Carer,

Well, Christmas is well and truly on its way!  To help us get into the festive spirit we are going to hold our annual OPJS Christmas Competitions!  Indeed, there are four competitions from which I would like your child to enter one as part of one of their homework tasks for this term.  Every entry gets a prize and here are the categories:

For Children

  • Make a Nativity Scene.
  • Make a Christmas Decoration – Cracker or Bauble.
  • Make a Christmas Card.
  • Decorate a Christmas Digestive Biscuit.

All children who take part will receive a little Christmas treat!  The children will be competing against their own year groups, and will be judged on originality of design, creativity and effort.  Now you need not feel left out as there are a few competitions for parents, carers and grandparents and these are highlighted below!

For Adults

  • Make and decorate a Christmas cake
  • Make and decorate a Christmas yule log

Christmas cake and yule log will be judged on taste and originality of design

We will hold the competitions in the Memorial Hall on Thursday 19th December with the winners announced at 2.45 pm. Entries must be in school by 9.30 am in order to get everything organised!

Many thanks,

Mr Dave Goucher
Headteacher
